Tonight Joan and Tony welcomed Michele to their wonderful monthly culture banquet. Michele’s a resident of the North End and a trained chef. She gave us a wonderful slice of la vita bella as she told us about the rich history of Italian cooking in America. Il Ponte - the bridge over the long weekend
My ponte started Tuesday evening after a wonderful Thanksgiving party at Sparhawk, and now I’m indulging in http://www.deejay.it/dj/onair?ref=hphead , the streaming Radio DeeJay site that’s replaced youtube as my fave. You get Italian radio, and an iTunes-style download center for current Italian hits . . . well, most of them are in English, but it’s good.

The Holidays
Newburyport put its Market Square tree up, and now they’re decorating Inn Street with boughs of evergreen. It’s gorgeous here.
