Tonight Joan and Tony welcomed Michele to their wonderful monthly culture banquet.  Michele’s a resident of the North End and a trained chef.  She gave us a wonderful slice of la vita bella as she told us about the rich history of Italian cooking in America.  A perfect “slow food” meal could begin by gathering ingredients on one of her 3-hour walking tours of the North End’s markets.  Mmm.  http://essexitalian.com/links

Newburyport put its Market Square tree up, and now they’re decorating Inn Street with boughs of evergreen.  It’s gorgeous here.

Newburyport Adult Ed., a wonderful place to work, is hiring an Italian teacher for next term.
